A Note From Mrs. Heather | Please Read
Dear Parents:
Thank you so much for your support as your dancer has progressed toward our special performance day! All our students have worked so hard in class, and I’m excited to watch them dance in our Tenth Annual performance for Heather Loveland Dance Academy.
There is still a lot of work ahead to make our performances successful and I need help from each of you to make sure every detail is complete. The most important thing you can do between now and recital day is to have your child in class to practice their routine! We can only prepare them if they are present.
This time of year gets busy fast so please mark your calendars for the dates below and PLEASE READ through this packet so you do not miss any news.

A Few Notable Points
Recital Fee of $145/ $75 for each additional child in the immediate family, was due with your March tuition. With this recital fee, your family will receive two complimentary tickets to the performance, a professional video recording of the performance, professional photographs of
the performance, and each dancer receives an annual recital t-shirt and recital poster. Additional tickets will be sold at HLDA’s front desks starting April 18th and at the door of the recital for $15. General admission seating. May tuition must be paid before performance day for dancers to participate. No June tuition is due.
All dancers must have proper tights and shoes to be worn with their costume. We suggest you purchase a backup pair of tights just in case. Your tights color depends on your costumeAll students with ballet costumes must use Capezio Ultra Soft Transition TIght, style #1916, in the color “light pink”. All students with tap or jazz costumes must use that same brand and style tight in the color “caramel” OR the shade you choose to best match your skin tone. (The color “caramel” matches my skin tone best). Your tight color and hair style is listed by your dance in the following pages. Our friends at Julian’s Dancewear have these tights in stock especially for you! Call them at (904) 880-0111 or stop by their shop in the Outback shopping plaza on San Jose Blvd.

SPRING SPARKLE SHOWCASE TICKETS GO ON SALE AT HLDA CAMPUSES. Each family receives two complimentary tickets included with your paid Recital Fee. Additional tickets will be sold at HLDA’s front desks and at the door of the recital for $15. General admission seating.
April 22 - 26
PRE-BALLET & APPRENTICE CLASSES COSTUMES GO HOME. Costumes must be paid in full to receive them. These are only handed out to adults and may include some additional sewing instructions so please come inside to pick them up during the last 20 minutes of class. We will also have the children perform their dance for you in the studio at this time so you can take a video for practice at home. Please plan to be there!

SPRING SPARKLE SHOWCASE PERFORMANCE DAY! Ponte Vedra High School Auditorium. Please refer to the detailed schedule in this packet so you don’t miss your turn on stage for the morning time dress rehearsal and evening performance.
COSTUME PICTURE DAY! Also held at PVHS during our dress rehearsals, please get your dancer’s pictures professionally taken before or after your rehearsal time on stage. This portrait will be included in our poster size composite that hangs in our studio lobby and we love to have all our dancers on it!
LAST DAY OF THE SEASON. No more classes take place after our Showcase on May 18. This is the end of our season. We invite you to enroll for summer classes or one of our fun summer camps! Watch for your chance for Priority Enrollment for the 2024/2025 dance season opening soon!
Our Spring Sparkle Showcase, on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at Ponte Vedra High School will be held in two different sessions: the first group performs at 4:00 p.m. and then a different group at 6:00 p.m. Your student is assigned to dance in only one session. Dancers are required to be present at the dress rehearsal at PVHS the same morning as our performance.

4:00 PM Session Rehearsal & Performance Schedule
9:00 AM - Participants (listed below) arrive at PVHS with hair and make-up on & costume in hand and get dressed in the dressing room.
9:30 AM -Rehearsal begins on stage in order listed below.
11:00 AM - Estimated completion time, however, all dancers will be dismissed as soon as their dance is finished throughout the day & get professional photos taken in costume at PVHS.
GO HOME TO EAT AND TAKE A NAP!
3:15 PM - Dancers arrive fully dressed and ready to perform (change into dance shoes). Check in at the front door and sit in the theatre with parents.
Mrs. Heather will give you specific instructions so you know when to bring your child backstage for their dance. They stay backstage until the end so they can all take a bow!
3:30 PM - Theatre house doors open to the public.
4:00 PM - Performance Begins! Enjoy the show!
