The Apprentice program is exclusively for Kindergarteners and particularly sensitive to their transition into school. These dancers are able to pay attention for longer periods of time and yet still need the versatility of moving from one thing to the next in short order, to avoid frustration and disinterest. Dancers at this age are able to have other styles of dance introduced into their class offerings for the first time; ballet, jazz, tap, acro and hip hop are all available to them. Each discipline lends to specific skill sets and yet all are geared to entice the child to have a desire to learn and love dance. This comes from a delicate balance of structured dance training coupled with playful activities. They often times are quite overwhelmed from school and our goal is to rejuvenate their energy. Remaining flexible as an instructor with the ability to re-direct the dancers is critical and keeps dancers cheerful.
