Health & Safety
It's very important to us that we are careful in our efforts to promote a safe environment for our students and encourage healthy practices as we dance together. Please know that we take the health and safety of our dancers very seriously and hope that we can all cooperate in this area.
All dancers and participants are required to sign a liability waiver prior to participating in any event or class. If an injur y occurs in our facility, we request that you notif y your teacher or coach right away and that you complete an incident report. If your child has had a fever within the last 24 hours, has a cough, or feels sick, we ask you to keep them home and not have them participate until they are recovered. If a child shows symptoms of illness, they will be removed from class and their parents will be called to pick them up. If a class is missed, families must give notice IN ADVANCE of their scheduled class to be EXCUSED. Excused absences will allow you to schedule up to (3) make-up classes per season (i.e. 2023-2024). Students may make-up for their EXCUSED absence in a comparable level class and must be scheduled within 30 calendar days of their absence. Please see our AT TENDANCE POLICY for additional information. Drop-off/Pick-up The lobby will be open for waiting parents and family members and the drop off line will be encouraged, but not required, in order to limit crowding in our waiting areas. Our front desk team will be present to help dancers find their way, if needed. We ask that you use the drop off line to pull up in front of the building to allow dancers to enter/exit the vehicle directly in front of the studio. We will guide students into their appropriate classes. We sug gest parking farther from the entrance if you choose to stick around and wait in your car. For pick up, we request that Pre-Ballet parents please walk up to the door to receive your child. The lobby is available for waiting and account questions or concerns at the front desk area. Please be prompt in both drop-off and pick up to help us avoid crowding the lobby area. Please follow the car line traffic pattern to help keep ever y thing flowing and avoid dancers crossing traffic. Sanitizing Extra care is taken to keep common areas and bathrooms clean with regular sanitizing. Hand sanitizer will be available and offered to students often. Of course, plenty of soap and water is available too. Water Fountain The water fountain is available with super vision from staff members. We strongly encourage you to send your child to class with a water bottle CLEARLY LABELED WITH THEIR NAME. Younger children may not need to bring a water bottle if it will be a distraction in class according to the discretion of their parent or guardian. Masks Masks are not expected, but if you feel more comfortable wearing one you may. We do not encourage them to be worn in actual dance classes. Air flow is a concern when participating in aerobic exercise. Thank You! "Thank you" just isn't enough for your support, business, and for helping us make HLDA what it is today. There is always work to be done and I'm hopeful that we can help our dancers feel secure and engaged in this activity and art form we all love so much! Sincerely, Heather Loveland & HLDA Staff |
