Miss Heather began dancing at age three and continued studying under masters of the art as she grew. She made a home at Beth Marks Ballet Arts Centre and was mentored there as a student and teacher of dance. Heather graduated from Douglas Anderson School of the Arts where she trained and performed as a dance major.
After returning home from BYU-Idaho, Heather resumed her position on staff at the Ballet Arts Centre. There she taught for nearly fifteen more years and served as the Assistant Director of the studio for five years.
Through her teaching career, Heather also taught for four years at Art In Motion dance studio as well as several other dance institutes as guest instructor for summer dance intensives.
Currently, Heather is the Production Chairman and the Audition Ballet Mistress for the Community Nutcracker, Inc. She is also a member of Dance Masters of America and is certified in the dance forms of ballet and jazz.
With much anticipation, Heather Loveland Dance Academy opened in August of 2014. Now in the second year of ownership, Heather is looking forward to many more years of growth and sharing the beautiful art form of dance with her students.
Leanne Davidson grew up near Lake Tahoe, Nevada where she trained in many forms of dance, but focused on tap.
At age 15, she was in a small group routine that won a national competition and, as a result, toured to Japan. Leanne attended Brigham Young University where she was a member of the International Folk Dance Ensemble Performing Arts Company. She toured with them to Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, China, Canada, and throughout the United States.
A true math nerd at heart, Leanne majored in statistics while at BYU and completed a minor in dance. She also danced in the closing ceremonies of the 2002 Winter Olympics, performing with the legendary rock band KISS.
Leanne has continued to share her love of dance through teaching tap at studios in Utah, Missouri, Ohio, and is thrilled to be teaching at Heather Loveland Dance Academy.
While Leanne loves teaching tap, her main roles are as a wife and mom to her four children.
